Douglas Moores, Q.C. is a resident of Harbour Grace, Newfoundland and was admitted to the Bar of Newfoundland in June, 1972.
Throughout his career Mr. Moores has been involved in many major matters and has taken a lead role in the legal Community of Newfoundland and Labrador. He has been a Bencher of the Law Society of Newfoundland and a member of the Canadian Bar Association.
In addition, Mr. Moores has been active in the general Community. He was the Chairman of the Committee which organized the historic visit of the “Matthew” to Newfoundland for the 500th Anniversary Celebration of the Province.
He received the Alumnus of the Year Award from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1998, also he was honoured by Dalhousie Law School with the Weldon Award for Unselfish Public Service in 2000.
He was the first recipient of the Newfoundland Branch - Canadian Bar Association award for Distinguished Public Service in 2000.
He has been associated with the company since its inception . His legal training and experience makes him an important member of the executive team.
Doug has also been involved with various aspects of the fishing industry for the past 30 years.
